The Dark Side of Yo-Yo Dieting


Many fad diets are super unhealthy and do not lead to a permanent weight loss. True you can lose a lot of weight, very fast with the help of unhealthy fad diets. But you will gain all the lost weight back and even get a couple of extra pounds too.

Every time you think about going on a fad diet take a moment to think it through. Have you ever achieved long lasting weight loss effects from fad diet? If the answer is yes you should try that one. Do you know somebody who has lost weight by following a fad diet? You can give that diet a try also.

The idea is to go for the proven diets. Use diets that work not diets that are new and there aren't enough results to make them reliable. There are plenty of time tested diets available, more than you can ever use in a lifetime. But you still have to be careful about them because some of them can be unhealthy also.

If you are a yo-yo dieter you know all too well the rollercoaster ride of losing weight and gaining weight that weight loss can be. This is very unhealthy for you and in the long run it only makes it even more likely that you will get even fatter. You see as you go on severe diets and go off them your metabolism becomes slower and slower. This means that you will have a harder and harder time maintaining your weight and losing weight.

I believe there are so many yo-yo dieters out there because everybody is looking for fast results. Instant gratification is so important in our modern times and we don't take the time and work hard anymore to get the results we desire. If you want to lose weight and keep it off you will have to arm yourself with lots of patience. There is no way around that.

When it comes to losing weight cutting corners isn't that advised. Sure there are some shortcuts that you can take but they usually imply exercising more and having a very good healthy diet from which you never stray. You can also get massages and pamper your body to make it even more efficient. Still losing weight will probably take a lot of time, especially if you want to lose a lot of weight in a healthy way.
